Academic requirements are tracked in the DW application using two metrics: Requirements and Credits. Requirements will not show as 100% complete until final grades from your final term are recorded and all of your coursework and other degree requirements are satisfied. Additionally, the "degree" block will show an "In-Progress" status until final grades are recorded and all degree requirements are met.
You should consult your academic advisor if you believe your academic record or audit is incorrect.
What is the ”What If” feature?
The What If feature is a Degree Works tool that allows you to select a program that you might be interested in pursuing in order to forecast how your completed and registered coursework would fulfill the requirements for that program.
There are three different GPA calculators in Degree Works. The Graduation and Advice Calculators help you determine how to reach a desired GPA outcome. The Term Calculator helps you predict your term GPA based upon the grades you expect to earn in each class.
It is important to review courses in this section for potential substitutions and to ensure the audit is functioning properly. If you find a course in the this section that needs to be processed as a substitution, or that should satisfy a General Education or major requirement without an exception, please contact your advisor.
You cannot update course information in Degree Works. To change your major/minor/concentration, you must complete a Change of Curriculum form.
How is a Degree Works worksheet different from a transcript?
Degree Works is not your academic transcript nor is it an official notification of completion of degree requirements. It is a tool to assist you in tracking your degree requirements. Your transcript is your official college record. The Registrar's Office performs an official degree audit when you apply for graduation.
How is my catalog year determined?
Your catalog year for Degree Works is determined by the term you were admitted to the ³Ô¹ÏÌìÌÃ. If you change your major, your record is adjusted to the catalog year in effect at the time the change is made.
Degree Works placed one of my courses in two different places on the audit. Is that okay?
In most cases, yes. Degree Works is programmed to recognize that some courses can fulfill more than one requirement. If you have any concerns, please contact your advisor.
I have seen the "@" symbol in several places in my audit. What does that mean?
This symbol is a ‘wild card’ in Degree Works programming. If the @ sign appears after a course prefix (i.e. PSYC @), it means you can take any course with that subject prefix (any course in Psychology). Similarly, 1@, represents anything at the 100-level.
